Up Close and Personal with the Space Shuttle

My Lockheed Martin business unit achieved CMMI-I Level 5 several times, which enabled us to have unique opportunities. The highlight of my career was working software process improvement at the Kennedy Space Center on the Shuttle program. I saw several launches up close and personal, both day and night. I attended astronaut briefings and was a part of a team of bright people with wonderfully positive attitudes. Special NASA/Lockheed Martin-guided tours behind the scenes were possible prior to 9/11 and made for unforgettable retirement memories.
