I have a Lockheed Martin story that I’ll guarantee you have not heard before.
This story reveals a “top secret” effort by Lockheed “think tank” employees (on
their own, after hours) to develop a safer and more efficient rocket-powered
jump motorcycle for Evel Knievel’s attempted jump over the Snake River.
This story has never been told in the United States, but was published
in England. The story appeared in “Fast Facts” (FF), a journal of the Speed
Record Club. I think you’ll enjoy it.
