Initially my job with supplier quality control was at 32nd and Chestnut
St. in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In 1989, the program was moved to Valley
Forge. We worked on the awesome MK-21 missile program. This missile was capable
of firing multiple atomic warheads. I could not imagine anyone using such a
weapon. I guess it deserved the name "Peacekeeper." Although I gave over
100 percent to the job, I secretly hoped there would never be an occasion to
use it. So far, we are in the clear. Nevertheless, to this day I wonder, "What
if?"
