I spent over 19 years with Lockheed from
1953 until 1973. Half the time, I was handling material for fabrication of the
B-47 through the C-5. The most rewarding experience was witnessing the time
spent at AFP-67 at Dawsonville, then being part of installing and maintaining
the new technology of numerical control. I witnessed the parts fabricated in a
new way for the C-5 and was able to see, along with my sons, the first flight. I
raised those boys with income from Lockheed. Lockheed Martin is a great company
and a great citizen of Georgia!
