I started at Lockheed in Marietta as a
coop student in 1962. When I first saw the production line with C-130 and C-141
aircraft stretching as far as the eye could see, I was hooked. That led to my
post-college career at Lockheed from 1966 to 1988 working in the structures
engineering department. I worked on the C-130 and C-141 programs, including the
C-141B. My favorite memory is of the many Lockheed World War II and Korean War Veterans
with whom I worked as they were my inspiration. My son has followed in my
footsteps and is working on the F-22 program.
