I worked for Martin Marietta for a bit
over five years. I worked in the Air Traffic Division, in Washington, D.C., on
the National Airspace System Modernization program. It was first job after
retiring from the Air Force. I was more than a bit apprehensive! However, the
people, both the old Martin Marietta people and the newly hired, were terrific.
To top it off, I met my future wife there. I can't say enough about the organization.
We had a tough job given that the FAA wasn't particularly happy to have someone
doing the task and looking over its shoulder. But, all Martin Marietta staff
worked as professionals and saw the task through.
