I was working as a
secretary for Lockheed in Building 85 in Burbank, California. It was 1955. It
was the year of the Constellation. Dwight D. Eisenhower was president. He flew into
the Burbank airport aboard the Presidential Constellation.
All the employees were on
the field as he stood on the steps of the aircraft to speak. It was a wonderful
experience for all of us as President Eisenhower was on one of our aircraft. It
was such an honor to see him in good health, as he was a great military man and
president.
