In 1974, I was hired by Lockheed Missiles and
Space Corporation in Sunnyvale, California. I worked on most of the company’s
missile projects. Now, I’m retired.
My first job description was as file clerk
and fax operator. I was promoted to secretary and then to manager. In the
1970s, sending faxes took about three minutes per page and most times they
failed! It was a fun job. Modern technology certainly has brought us a long way!
