I started my Lockheed Martin career in
1968 and retired in 2002 from the Owego facility. I worked as an engineer, engineering
manager and program manager and enjoyed our cradle-to-grave facility. We
designed, built, tested and fielded our products, and we had direct
communication with our customers during all phases of construction. My favorite
program was the Light Airborne Multi-Purpose Systems (LAMPS) program. I feel a great
sense of pride when the helicopters fly over my house during testing and sell-off.
I look up and see the next generation operational, and I am happy to read about
the recent foreign sales to Denmark.
