I worked at Lockheed Electronics Company.
One of our biggest products was an all-digital air track radar and gunfire
control system. It was one of the first produced and was evaluated on the USS
Norton Sound, out of Oxnard, California. This system directed a 5-inch gun
against ground and air targets. Lockheed produced 20 of these systems for the United
States Navy. Gun systems were soon replaced by missile systems around the
world.
