Working at the Michoud Assembly Facility was one of
the most interesting times of my life. I was the traffic and shipping
supervisor and was responsible for getting the production material in and out,
as well as direct support of the mission in Florida. We made the external tank
for the Space Shuttle. There were many long hours spent in this effort. The
crowning glory for this job was seeing the first Shuttle lift off and knowing
that I had one small part in the success of that program.
