Space satellites were made by the folks in the Astro Space
facility at East Windsor in New Jersey. During the 1980s and 1990s, I was a
member of the security department, and one of my responsibilities was to
inventory security devices in many of these spacecraft. They were truly works
of art. Now, many of them are still out in space performing many useful tasks
for many commercial and government customers. Thousands of talented men and
women contributed their work lives to creating these beautiful and functional
items.
