My husband, William, started work at Martin Marietta
on April 1, 1959. He worked full time and luckily was never laid off. He worked on Bull Pup for Joe Martin and
worked in shipping for Joe Wheatley. He also worked in the remote area to pack
explosives for the Patriot and Copperhead missiles. He was transferred to PNVS
for the Apache. Our son, Michael, also worked at Martin Marietta for over seven
years. William made many good friends while there. He retired in 1988.
