On August 11, 1980, I started at General Dynamics
in Fort Worth, Texas. I was a dispatcher, and my job carried me all over the
plant. I worked with all types of folks, and I worked the night shift. I
remember F-111s being repaired for damages. I can recall when F-16s were
delivered to the Thunderbirds, with the Falcon logo installed on them. When
Lockheed came aboard, a lot of good changes were made.
It was a great career experience, one I shall
never forget.
