After retiring
from the United States Air Force, I joined IBM, which later became Loral, in
developing air traffic control systems for the FAA. I became Lockheed Martin staff
when Loral was acquired in the early 1990s. We went on to develop a fully
automated, voice-activated tower control system that our controller customer
loved, but never funded.
